The Marriage Course
What is the Marriage Course?
The Marriage Course is a course developed by Nicky and Sila Lee, co-authors of “The Marriage Book.” They have been married for over thirty years and have four children. They started “The Marriage Course” in 1996, and participation continues to grow with thousands of courses now running around the world.
The course consists of eight DVD sessions, accompanied by discussion and activities that are designed to help any married couple strengthen their relationship.
Who is it for?
The Marriage Course is for any couple, whether together for one year or 50 years, and whether they feel they have a strong relationship or are struggling. If couples have a strong marriage, this course will help them make it even better and will reinforce their good habits. If on the other hand, their marriage is in difficulty, the course will provide them with very practical tools to help them work through the issues. Some couples who are separated have used this course as a way of trying to get back together. Whatever the situation, the practical tools couples learn will help them improve and strengthen their relationship.
Is there a cost?
The registration fee for the Marriage Course is $20.00 per couple which covers the cost of course materials, including a copy of “The Marriage Book: How to Build a Lasting Relationship” and two “Marriage Course Manuals.” Limited scholarships are available to assist with the registration fee.
Schedule
The Marriage Course meets once a week for 8 weeks. The program will be held from Sept. 15 to Nov. 10 from 6:45 PM to 9:00 PM (no class on Oct. 13th). Desert and coffee will be served each evening at 6:45 PM. The program will begin promptly each evening at 7:00 PM. Dinner will be provided on the last evening and participants will be encouraged to invite other couples as dinner guests. The class will be located in the multi-purpose room at the Vineyard Church Northwest.
Is child care available?
Child Care is available by pre-registration only ($5.00 per child per evening, $13.00 maximum per family per evening). Scholarships for child care may be available.
